About Us

A Little History. A Lot of Good Food. And an Exciting New Chapter.

Since 1931, Barron’s Country Store has been a part of the Andover community, serving generations of customers and becoming one of the town’s longest-operating family-owned retail businesses.

Located on Lowell Street, Barron’s has long been known for its famous deli sandwiches and has grown into a destination for much more—from steak and grilled chicken subs to lunch and dinner plates, salads, soups, breakfast sandwiches, hot coffee, specialty beverages, and an impressive selection of beer, wine, and spirits.

In September 2026, we became the proud new owners of Barron’s Country Store.

We’re Gene and Rebecca Beraldi, and this new chapter is especially meaningful to us because Andover isn’t just where we opened a business—it’s home.

We’ve lived in Andover for nearly 20 years, raised our families here, and built our lives in this community. After calling Andover home for so long, the opportunity to finally own a local business in the town we love felt like a natural—and incredibly exciting—next step for our family.

We’re bringing with us decades of experience in adult beverages, retail food, customer service, marketing, and creating businesses with a strong focus on the customer experience. Our goal is to take that experience and use it to revitalize and build upon the Barron’s Country Store that our community already knows and loves.

That means upgrading menu items, elevating ingredients, introducing thoughtful new dishes, and exploring new ways to make the food and shopping experience even better. Some changes will happen right away, while others will evolve over time as we listen to our customers and discover what our community wants next.

But while we’re excited about change, we also understand the importance of preserving what makes Barron’s special.

At the heart of it all, we want Barron’s to remain the neighborhood country store where you can grab your favorite sandwich, pick up something for dinner, find a great beer or bottle of wine, and—hopefully—run into a familiar face along the way.

We’re proud to carry forward a tradition that began here more than 90 years ago while creating a new chapter of our own.

For us, being a family business isn’t just about owning the store. It’s about knowing our customers, caring about our community, and making people feel welcome every time they walk through the door.

We’re incredibly excited to be here, to become part of Barron’s story, and to build on the tradition that has made this little country store a part of Andover for generations.

A lot has changed since 1931. And there’s plenty of exciting change still to come.

Welcome to the next chapter of Barron’s Country Store.
